Release & desktop compatibility
Publish desktop update information without hard-coding a distribution host. The Windows app reads the public release endpoint and warns when a newer or mandatory version is available.
A snapshot records the current server/desktop compatibility settings for operational history. It does not upload or distribute the installer itself.

Registrations controls whether new accounts can be created from either website or desktop.
Playback thresholds control shared Continue Watching/completion behavior across both clients.
Administrator 2FA is a policy gate on web administration. Every admin can configure TOTP and recovery codes from their normal account-security page.
Backup retention controls how long the scheduled database-backup command keeps generated backups before rotating them.
Autoplay/auto-next are defaults only; a configured provider must support the capability for it to take effect.
